Feb 22: Darned lottery

We get Zone 6 for the third time in the morning.  By now we know all the tracks well enough to become guides ourselves!  We complain bitterly, though it's not the guides fault.  He makes lots of frantic phone calls though it will make no difference today because the draw is made the day before.  It's difficult for him too, as there is nothing left to show or tell us about.  It was absolutely freezing this morning so we were NOT in a good mood.  The afternoons safari was in Zone 7 again, and we saw no tigers on either drive.  In fact we saw little more than a few of these-

At least in between safaris we had gorgeous weather, clear skies, and a delightful hotel with only a handful of guests to disturb the tranquility.

Such a contrast to life outside its walls.  But the drive through the old town is always fascinating: passing through another world, almost medieval.
